NDA Scholarships

The National Demolition Association is proud to invest in the future of our industry through the NDA Scholarship Awards. These scholarships support students pursuing any field of study, helping them build meaningful careers and strong connections within the demolition community. Please review the information below for eligibility requirements, how to apply, scoring guidelines, and the selection/award process.

NDA Scholarships and Donors

The following scholarships are made possible through the generous support of individuals, companies, and NDA chapters. Scholarships range from $1000-$7500.

  • The John T. Adamo, Jr. Scholarship
  • The Bill and Wanda Baker Scholarship
  • The Michael J. Casbon Scholarship
  • The Roger I. Homrich Scholarship
  • The Patrick H. O’Rourke Scholarship
  • The Mike and Nancy Taylor Scholarship
  • The SA Recycling Scholarship
  • The Southern California Chapter Scholarship
  • The Southern California Chapter Member Scholarship
  • The Florida Chapter Scholarship 
  • The Michigan Chapter Scholarship 
  • The Ohio Chapter Scholarship
  • The Sessler Wrecking Scholarship 
  • Florida Chapter Education/Certification Scholarship - This scholarship is for those pursuing continuing education and/or certification with NDA. 
  • The Independence Demolition Scholarship
  • The Lindamood Scholarship
  • New: Priestly Demolition Inc. Scholarship


SCHOLARSHIP CATEGORIES

Academic Scholarships (Bachelor's Degree or Higher)

For students pursuing a traditional college or university education in any field of study.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or higher for the Fall 2027 semester.
  • Applicants must not have received an NDA scholarship two years in a row. If you received a 2026 scholarship, you are not eligible to apply this year.

How to Apply:

Awards and Selection Process:

  • Scholarships are awarded as a one-time payment for the Fall 2027 semester.  
  • Payments are made directly to the recipient’s school — not to individuals.  
  • The NDA Awards Committee determines both the scholarship recipients and the award amounts.  
  • Scholarship winners will be recognized at Demolition Fort Worth, held Feb. 17-20, 2027.

Trade School Scholarships 

For individuals enrolling in trade school programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a trade school program for the Fall 2027 semester.
  • Applicants must not have received an NDA scholarship two years in a row. If you received a 2026 scholarship, you are not eligible to apply this year.

How to Apply:

Awards and Selection Process:

  • Scholarships are awarded as a one-time payment for the Fall 2027 semester.  
  • Payments are made directly to the recipient’s school — not to individuals.  
  • The NDA Awards Committee determines both the scholarship recipients and the award amounts.  
  • Scholarship winners will be recognized at Demolition Fort Worth, held Feb. 17-20, 2027.

Florida Chapter Education/Certification Scholarship

For individuals interested in pursuing continuing education and certification through the National Demolition Association.  

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants who are NDA members in good standing and are members of the NDA FL Chapter will be given preference in their application.

How to Apply:

Awards and Selection Process:

  • The scholarship recipient will have (1) calendar year to determine how they will be using their scholarship monies. Once determined, they will work with NDA for registration for said event. There will be no registration transfers to other recipients once the scholarship is awarded  
  • The Awards Committee will select the recipients and the scholarship they will be awarded.  
  • The NDA Awards Committee determines both the scholarship recipients and the award amounts.  
  • Scholarship winners will be recognized at Demolition Fort Worth, held Feb. 17-20, 2027.
